Fairly clean and special place with friendly staff with excellent service. Great location near Connemara national park. And just next door to the restaurant during dinner, and the local and wider areas. The hotel of choice in Clifden.

Particularly attentive staff, gave a lot of information. Near a castle and an old castle, overall the location was stunning and incredible. There was parks and a national park near the place.

I very much liked the familarity of the staff, it was a very homely feeling to the hotel. There was complementary afternoon tea which I thought was a lovely and rare touch. Also available was a Champagne reception which unfortunately we could not attend as we had booked dinner in a restaurant a distance away and had we stayed for reception we would have missed our booking, but it seems to have been a huge success.

I did not like the buffet style breakfast. On the Saturday morning the (cooked) breakfast was so cold I could not eat it and unfortunately as I have an allergy to dairy products, cereral was not an option for me. So while I had fruit etc this did not suffice for me and while on our travels around Connemara had to stop to eat along the way. On Sunday morning there was no such problem.

The hotel's location is marvelous and brilliant, situated close to the castle and the beautiful environment. It's only a 5-minute walk from The Whitehorn Gallery. The staff is amicable and possesses great local knowledge.

The majority of the staff here were extremely friendly; the spacious double room was both affordable and had a fantastic view, plus the location was fantastic, just a short stroll from everywhere we wanted to visit.

The good customer service which was highly apparent. We were made most welcome and it lived up to the previous rating on this aspect. The afternoon tea was also welcome and breakfast was excellent one of the best we have had.

The only let down for us was the room, it was very dusty around the window sills, wardrobes and the bedspread had a stain which was unpleasant.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent service and great surrounding landscape for a fair price. If you're looking for a nice place to spend a weekend, or only a day, in western Ireland this hotel is highly recommended.
